RON REMEMBERS

RON LAGLAGARON: My memories of our senior year that stood out were when Pag-asa Javier came in class 15 minutes late and we (Gerry, Etik, Jore, Esoy, Ernie? or Tim? can't remember who else) thought she wasn't coming so we played hooky. When we learned the next day that she was mad at us we tiptoed to our Pilipino class where she bawled out all of us and declared we were all suspended indefinitely! Our parents were called in and I remember getting a grade of 60 on our 4th grading period (I think everyone did too). Thankfully it became a 70 next time and I passed Pilipino by the chin of my chinny chin chin.

On a brighter note, being a section B in the first 2 years I met some interesting classmates, Jesse de Paula(Samson D would always chide him for writing his full name on a 1/4 sheet of paper as Jesus Antonio Lopez Franco De Paula), Raul Buenconsejo, Arthur Malan( a die hard Nazi fan), Elizabeth Kwan, Perla Verdad, Gimo V.,Joe Espeso an avid cockfight afficionado who I learned passed away and of course Rey Jimenez for entertainment. Our favorite hang-out was the Sunnyside Inn on Ybiernas st. where we would listen in to stories of the older guys in high school and college. The ube ensaymada and bitsucuy vendor who used to sell his stuff by the gates during recess...
