One time we hid behind the bushes near the General Science building watching Zenaida Zapanta as she stood, stern and uncompromising, at the foot of the main building steps - having a lover's quarrel at lunchtime with her husband-to-be.
On the roof above the library was where Rudy had his mimeographing territory. Some of the boys climbed up there one time and conveniently "found" a discarded copy of the Biology final exam.
In Biology class we thrilled at seeing wiggly squigglys under the microscope. An even greater thrill was cutting up frogs in Badong Pamplona's class.
The stench of the biology lab was overpowering - formaldehyde and dead cats being dissected by the pre-med students. There were glass jars outside the lab with various preserved specimens inside them - animals mostly, but was wasn't there a fetus, even?
More smells wafted to our rooms on days after a rain from our "neighbors" in Tanza.
Ah, yes, the rain: the rain drummed on the roof of the LT during many a Woman's Club affair....and drama presentation...
Those days the fields outside were flooded, so we walked on wooden planks thrown across the water-logged grass...
