Dido and I were in Virginia last weekend (September 8-10) for a wedding, and looked up Ernesto. So we met him, his lovely wife Monika, and equally lovely (and so precocious!) daughter Elena. A big surprise - Raul Buenconsejo joined us for brunch, after which we went to Ernie's house for coffee. Here are a couple of pictures, courtesy of Ernie.

All of us have traveled far - some in space, some in mind, many in purpose, some in the reaches of the heart. Far enough, for one of us to have been caught in terror's grasp.
